Wellesley, Mass. – Margolis Bloom & D’Agostino is pleased to announce that Carly Paul has been selected as the recipient of the firm’s 2026 Estate Planning Scholarship.
The MBD award is given to a second- or third-year law student attending a law school in Massachusetts who is interested in serving BIPOC communities in the field of estate planning. The purpose of this scholarship is to encourage law students from backgrounds underrepresented in the field to consider estate planning.
Currently a second-year student at Northeastern University School of Law, Carly Paul developed her passion for elder law through hands-on legal experience that revealed both the importance of thoughtful planning and the critical need to protect vulnerable older adults.
She worked as an office assistant at Bowditch & Dewey, where she supported attorneys practicing estate planning. She later worked at Keches Law Group, assisting an attorney handling nursing home malpractice cases – an experience that reinforced her desire to advocate for older adults and those facing some of life’s most difficult circumstances.
“Working in estate planning and later with nursing home malpractice cases showed me how meaningful it is to advocate for older adults and their families,” said Carly Paul. “Those experiences inspired me to pursue a career in elder law, where I hope to help people age with dignity while expanding access to legal services for underserved communities.”

The Margolis Bloom & D’Agostino Estate Planning Scholarship is awarded annually to a law student who demonstrates academic achievement, leadership, and a sincere commitment to practicing in estate planning, elder law, special needs planning, or related fields. Through the scholarship, the firm seeks to encourage future attorneys who share its mission of helping individuals and families plan for the future while preserving dignity, independence, and peace of mind.
