How long have you been at MBD? 25 years.
If you weren’t an attorney, what would you do instead? I haven’t given it that much thought since my mother started telling me to do this when I was five years old. But maybe I would be an architect, a psychologist, or a mechanic?
Who was the most influential person in your life? This is very hard to say because I’ve been blessed with a number of close family members that I’ve learned from, most of it good đ But, my hero is my grandmother, Marie. She endured a number of life challenges — orphaned at an early age, came to this country by herself and started working when she was 13 years old, raised a family, but lost multiple children well before their time — yet in all of her 103 years was kind and loving to every person she met.
On any given Saturday, where can we find you and what would you be doing? Home or in the Berkshires, hopefully outside, perhaps hiking, walking the dogs or mowing the lawn.
Favorite food to eat or make or both? I am Jewish but my stomach is Italian. I love carbs, so the answers are clearly pasta and risotto, respectively. If at an Italian restaurant, my wife lets me order as many pasta dishes as will fit on the table and not be too embarrassing. I have a poor track record when making fresh pasta, so I often make risotto which is much easier and almost as good. Plus it’s safe for my daughter who has a gluten allergy.
Best place you have traveled, and/or dream destination? Italy. See above.
