How long have you been at MBD?
I have been at MBD for a little over a year now. Time has flown by!
If you weren’t an attorney, what would you do instead?
If I wasn’t an attorney, I would like to be a historian. I earned a minor in history in undergrad, and I enjoy studying the way people lived at different places and times. I think we can also learn valuable lessons by observing past human behavior.
Who was the most influential person in your life?
The most influential person in my life was my grandmother. She was kindhearted and thoughtful to everyone. I recall on more than one occasion where she befriended a stranger we had just met while out and about. She demonstrated the positive impact that one can have on others by showing care and extending kindness. She also showed me the value of family, especially as a support system and source of unconditional love. I hope to emulate these same traits, and I try to practice care and kindness in the work I do at MBD as well.
On any given Saturday, where can we find you and what would you be doing?
This is a tough question because I am at a time in my life where many people are getting married, so I have been at weddings, showers and bachelorettes on a lot of Saturdays over this past year. (I have another event this month.) If I am not doing that, I will be trying to sleep in, doing something active, and spending time with loved ones. My dog, a “Chiweenie” named Penny, is always there too.
I also like to try new (or new to me) restaurants in the Boston area.
Favorite food to eat or make or both?
My favorite food to eat and make is tacos, or Mexican food in general. I think growing up in Colorado influenced my tastebuds that way. I also enjoy baking, and I have been trying to improve my skills in that area. There have been some successes, some interesting outcomes, and some attempts that didn’t even make it to the oven.
Best place you have traveled, and/or dream destination? I loved visiting Rome because I could see the historical sights and architecture, and then go eat great food anywhere I went! My dream vacation is to go to the Maldives and stay in one of the villas that has its own water slide into the ocean.
